Sarah Armstrong (She/They)

Community Engagement Coordinator

Sarah is a registered social worker from Drumheller, Alberta, with a Bachelor of Social Work and a strong commitment to community well-being. Growing up in a small town fostered a deep appreciation for connection, resilience, and the strength of local communities; values that continue to shape both personal and professional paths.

Cycling began as a practical way to commute and get around town but quickly became something more: a source of joy, freedom, and a powerful way to connect with people and place. Through the Gender Equity Mechanics Program, Sarah works to break down barriers and create more inclusive spaces in the cycling community, grounded in the belief that biking has something to offer everyone- whether for transportation, independence, or simply joy.

Outside of work and time on the bike, days are often spent in the garden, practicing yoga, or enjoying music.

Intentional community building should not be overlooked. When we come together, we talk through our insecurities, our uncertainties and share stories to help us better understand each other and the world we live in.
