Nellie Bouillard

Gap Advisory Council

Hello there! My name is Nellie and I graduated from the Gap program in 2025. I moved from France a couple of years ago and I'm really grateful to have been part of this program, which helped me adapt to Canadian working environments. It helped me build the confidence and skills I needed to end up as a bike builder at a bike shop, and as a facilitator for the Earn-a-Bike program at Two Wheel View!

Apart from work, I am learning piano, guitar and music production. Music has a special place in my heart and I dedicate most of my free time engaging with it, by writing songs and using it as a medium to express my joy, pain and humanity freely.

I enjoy outdoor activities with my friends and my mom as I am drawn to the peacefulness and simplicity of nature. I find nature to be consistently inconsistent, which brings me a sense of clarity and belonging. Whenever I am surrounded by trees I feel the most supported by other agents of this ecosystem that I, as a human and individual, am a small / huge part of. This is where I find the drive to do the best I can to advocate for the right to existence of all living beings.

It’s why I am delighted to be a part of the Gap alumni council, where I can be a part change through bikes and community!

Intentional community building should not be overlooked. When we come together, we talk through our insecurities, our uncertainties and share stories to help us better understand each other and the world we live in.
