Lester Valenzuela

Fund Development Manager

Lester is passionate about building strong communities by creating meaningful connections between people, organizations, and opportunities. A lifelong Calgarian, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Spanish from Mount Royal University and has dedicated his career to supporting individuals and families through settlement services, community outreach, and nonprofit leadership.
Throughout his career, Lester has worked alongside newcomers and underserved communities, helping connect people with the resources they need while building partnerships that create lasting impact. His transition into fundraising was driven by a desire to strengthen organizations from the inside out—bringing together donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners to ensure life-changing programs can continue to grow and reach more people.
As Fund Development Manager at Two Wheel View, Lester is inspired by the organization’s belief that a bicycle is much more than a mode of transportation. It’s a tool for building confidence, resilience, independence, and connection. He is excited to help grow the community of supporters who make that impact possible and believes that every partnership has the potential to change a young person’s life.
Outside of work, Lester enjoys staying active, discovering new restaurants around Calgary, spending time with friends and family, and giving back to the community whenever he can.

Intentional community building should not be overlooked. When we come together, we talk through our insecurities, our uncertainties and share stories to help us better understand each other and the world we live in.
