Ben joined the gap program in the fall of 2023, keeping in touch with the rest of the Two Wheel View crew in the following months and honing their mechanics skills eventually led them to send in an application to work in the back of the shop as a mechanic and up front working with customers. They spent 5 months learning the finer details of bike mechanics and helping move the shops progress along, after their successful transition into a notably more confident mechanic they applied to be a facilitator for the gap program, the very thing that started their mechanic's journey. Ben continues to help support youth over 1 year into their job as gap facilitator, not only working directly with youth but also volunteering to tell all of Calgary the success of every gap student on live tv and radio.
