David joined Two Wheel View while on a break from his career an an engineering manager with a major international oil and gas company. He got to know the organization initially through fixing bicycles for the Earn-a-Bike program and met the passionate people behind 'changing kids' lives from the seat of a bike.' He has been a volunteer trip leader with TWV since 2016, leading the YMCA Exchange tour, Badlands to Banff and Alberta Open trips. David believes that many important life skills can be learned from the seat of a bike. David is married to Sheilah and they have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.

Two Wheel View pedals and programs at the confluence of the Bow and the Elbow Rivers within the traditional land of the Niitsitapi people including the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Iyarhe Nakoda including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations, and the people of the Tsuu’tina Nation. The city of Calgary is also home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of the Métis Nation within Alberta District 5 and 6. As inhabitants of this Treaty 7 territory we acknowledge the passive role we have played in colonization and the ongoing responsibilities we have as treaty people.
