Does your bike need some Love_.png

Support GAP Employability Program with a Spring Bike Tune

Need a spring tune-up? Want to support young people in expanding their skills in mechanics and customer service? Love Two Wheel View?

If you answered yes to any of the above and do have a bike that is in need of some love let us know! We are looking for about 10 commuter bikes that are in need of a basic spring bike tune. We are not looking to work on your high end bikes - our ideal bike is your trusty commuter that we know could use a little love. These bikes will be worked on by mechanics in training who are supported by Two Wheel View’s own master mechanics.

Tune-up will include: ($60)

  • Wipe Frame

  • True Wheels (minor)

  • Adjust Hubs, Headset, Bottom Bracket

  • Shift and Brake adjustment

  • Set derailleur limits

  • Check bolts

  • Oil Chain & Check wear

  • Pump tires

  • Shift cable and housing replacement ($15 plus parts)*

  • Brake cable and housing replacement ($15 plus parts)*

  • Derailleur hanger alignment ($12)

*$12 per each cable and housing segment

Please Note, as we are not a traditional bike shop we do not have access to the variety of new parts you would find at your local bike shop.  With this in mind we will not necessarily be able to fix every issue you are facing with your beloved bicycle.  This is a basic tune that will be performed with the existing components on the bike.

One last detail, we would like *you* to drop off and pick up your bike and have a conversation with our participants. This will give them an opportunity to practice their customer service. We will be following the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 Safety protocols for all bike drop off and pick ups!

We will be receiving bikes starting on Friday April 9th between 4 and 6pm with the aim for pickup Monday April 19th between 4 and 6pm.

If you are interested in this opportunity to support Two Wheel View please email with your name, number and a quick bio about your bike. Please note that we will only be accepting the first 10 - 12 bikes at this time.
