Strathcona-Tweedsmuir Bike Camp
STS Bike Camp
Bike Camp - Maintenance, Cycle Touring, and Trail riding
Two Wheel View is offering a five-day bicycle mechanics and trail-riding skills course in partnership with Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School’s (STS) summer programming. Participants will receive three days of basic bike mechanics skills, including how to change a flat tire, adjust brakes, and diagnose shifting issues. These highly applicable maintenance skills pair with an introduction to self-supported bicycle touring and the basics of trail-riding. Rides will take place on STS’s local trail system with a day trip to Bragg Creek.
Participants will have the opportunity at the end of the week to showcase their new set of skills in an interactive basic tune-up service offered to friends, family and other camp participants. All tools and stands are provided with the option to rent a bike through our program partner, Ridley’s Cycle. We encourage participants to bring their bikes if they have a mountain bike capable of riding dirt/gravel singletrack.
