Volunteering for VRAC Environnement

Today was our last full day in Montreal.   We met up with our Quebec friends at Parc Jarry (also where the Rogers Cup takes places), and joined them in an annual event of handing out flowers, seeds and top soil to the local community.   We arrived at 8:30 and already there were hundreds of folks lined up to get complimentary plants.  As a group, we also offered complimentary bicycle repairs.  Our students were busy all morning, working with our Quebec friends to better the local community.

The Alberta group had some time in the afternoon to explore Ste Catherine street and do some souvenir shopping.

We met back up with our Quebec friends for a special dinner they prepared for us, to represent their countries.  We had dishes from El Salvador, India, Pakistan and French Canada, just to name a few!

We look forward to spending our final morning in Montreal before we depart for the airport and return to Calgary.
