TWO WHEEL VIEW incorporates many of the same skill development and personal achievement presented in the after-school and Trips for Kids program in a 2-week international bicycle expedition. The expedition program challenges students in many ways. For many the experience will reshape their way of thinking about themselves, their community and they way they interact with peers and adults.
TWO WHEEL VIEW provides the bikes, camping equipment and logistical support. We practice and teach about environmental and community stewardship through hands-on lessons, service projects, journaling, and post-trip initiatives.
To expedition program provides high school students 14 years and older with
an immersion opportunity that helps create a better understanding
of the cultural and environmental landscapes of our world.
Two Wheel View is all about:
- Developing a healthy and active lifestyle
- Fostering cross-cultural understanding
- Developing leadership skills
- Connecting with the natural environment
Two Wheel View offers students from throughout north America
an opportunity to get involved. Over the past five years
students have joined programs from the United States and
Canada including: New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota,
California, Oregon, Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.
These students are from a variety of backgrounds and bring with them a mix of skills and experiences. Although most students that go on trips have never been mountain bike touring, you need to be physically active, know how to ride a bicycle and be open to camping and outdoor experiences.
TWO WHEEL VIEW student and school programs are designed for positive, levelheaded students and teachers with a keen interest in experiential learning and international travel. We offer programs for students from 14-17 years old.
Safety is our top priority. Two Wheel View staff and volunteers
include parents, teachers and community leaders who have
an interest in education and the outdoors. On every expedition
there are staff which include: Wilderness First Responders,
EMTs, and staff with Red Cross First Aid and CPR training.
We have designed comprehensive Emergency Response Plans
specific to the destinations we travel. The ratio of students
to adult staff is approximately 4 to 1. Read more about
staff and volunteers here.

Many participants fundraise some if not all of their program
fee. TWO WHEEL VIEW will provide you with ideas and strategies
to help you reach your fundraising goals. If you choose
to fundraise for your trip, please read the guidelines and
understand the process so that contributions are accounted
for.
