TWO WHEEL VIEW - TRIPS (download brochure)

The TWO WHEEL VIEW bike trip program is a rare international travel experience for students.

Take a 2-week mountain bike expedition in a remote region of Argentina or Norway.

  • See the world differently
  • Challenge yourself in extreme adventure
  • Prepare for an uncommon experience and uncommon adventure
  • Change the way you think about yourself and the world

Apply for an open enrolment trip with other students your age from across the USA and Canada or go as a school group. It only takes eight (8) to make a school group trip.

TWO WHEEL VIEW trips are designed for exceptional experiences in uncommon destinations. A TWV trip is a grass-roots approach to international travel - our trips are not pampered, not catered and unlike what the rest of your class might be doing. It will be one of the most remarkable things you will do in your life.

TWO WHEEL VIEW will provide the bikes, guides, camping gear and the ride of your life. Pack your personal things and we will take care of the rest.

Before the Trip:

  • Knowledgeable support and instruction for getting ready
  • Travel and flight coordination
  • An informative communication manual for parents, teachers and administrators
  • Pre- trip orientation with the group
  • Personal webpage with up-to-date and trip specific details

During the Expedition

  • Use TWV mountain bike touring equipment, panniers (saddle bags), and camping gear
  • Ride with trained tour guides and mechanics
  • Be part of the process of every day: route planning, food shopping and preparation, setting up camp, engaging with host communities, and planning the next day
  • Push your limits
  • Gain cooperative leadership skills and self confidence
  • Have everything you need along the route: food, lodging, camping, supervision – no additional costs

After the Expedition:

  • Post trip networking on the web – pictures, videos and stories
  • Professional support for future expedition planning
  • An unforgettable experience
  • Trip reunions

Adventurous

Our biking and camping programs will challenge you in many ways. For many the experience will reshape the way you see yourself and the world.

Active

All of our adventures are designed for beginner to intermediate bike riders and outdoors enthusiasts. We cater programs to meet the abilities of young people ages 14 and older. We provide the bikes, camping equipment and logistical support. Although most of the people on our programs have never traveled by bicycle, you need to know how to ride a bike.

Environmental

We practice and teach about environmental stewardship through hands-on camp lessons, service projects, journaling, and post-trip initiatives. We provide you with the tools to explore and understand the environment and teach you about ways to safeguard it wisely.

Educational

Travel changes the way you see the world. We expect that everyone will share their experience once they return home through presentations and community initiatives.

For students, Many high schools and colleges provide credit for our program. Ask your guidance counselor if your trip would qualify for credit.

For the Science Teacher

Want to make science even more exciting? Learn about the unique environments of the Arctic Circle or Altiplano regions of Argentina. Visit an observatory and local farms where science is practiced in the day-to-day activities of the people we meet.

For the Spanish Teacher

Immerse your students in the Spanish language and the rich life of Argentina, Spain or the Dominican Republic.

For the History Teacher

Unique opportunities to study history and culture abound in the countries we visit.

For the Physical Education Teacher

What a better way to promote a healthy and active lifestyle than to go on a bike and camping trip.

For the Outdoor Education Teacher

Challenge a group of students like they have never been challenged before by putting them into a foreign culture on a fully self contained bicycle expedition. Teach students best practice camping and wilderness skills, develop new team-building strategies, and show them a remote destination from the seat of a bike.
